Now that Kamal Haasan is back from the United States after shooting some crucial scenes for his multilingual magnum opus 'Viswaroopam', a special show of 'Nanban' was organized for the Ulaganayagan at a preview theatre in Chennai.

"Vijay, who wanted to show the movie to Kamal, made arrangements for the special screening. Kamal was thoroughly impressed after watching Nanban and was all praise for Vijay, Shankar and others behind the movie," sources say.

They add: "Kamal said Nanban has been carefully made without missing out the essence of the original ('3 Idiots') and at the same time without losing on the nativity front. He hailed Vijay for his performance."

Meanwhile, the audio of 'Snehitudu', the Telugu dubbed version of 'Nanban', was launched in Hyderabad recently, at a colourful function attended by Vijay, Shankar, Sathyaraj and Ileana D' Cruz among others. The Telugu version is expected to hit the screens soon.
