For beauties from West Bengal, Tamil and Telugu industries seem to be the short route to achieve stardom in their homeland. Only recently Richa Gangopadhyay, after making it big in the south, signed her maiden film in Bengal.
And now, we learn that Kamalini Mukherjee, another beauty from West Bengal, has signed her debut film in Bengali cinema. Titled 'Aparajita Tuni', the movie has offered her a complex character, and the actress is so happy about it.
Says the 'Vettaiyadu Vilayadu' and 'Kadhalna Summa Illai' actress, "I waited for seven long years to make my debut in Bengali cinema in a meaningful way. My patience has been rewarded since am playing a meaty role in Aparajita Tuni."
She adds: "The character I'm doing in this movie has some grey shades as well. This is for the first time I am doing such a role and hence IÂm thrilled and happy about it. I eagerly look forward for the day when the film hits the screens."
