Kaniha will play a a character named Meera Nandaa in her upcoming movie which has been titled 'E-Diary'. She plays a police officer in the movie. Meera Nandha is a deputy commissioner of police who is entrusted with investigating the murder of a dancer. In the course of events, circumstances force her to take on the guise of a man.

'E-Diary' is being directed by Sajid Maserry. Kaniha's upcoming release is the Suresh Gopi movie 'Rudrasimhasanam' in which she essays the role of Haimavathy.The actress has endeared herself to the Malayalam viewers with a consistent slew of movies.
