Priya, once assistant to Mani Ratnam, won name and fame for herself through Kanda Naal Muthal starring Prasanna, Laila and Karthik. She has now completed her next Kanamoochi Yaenada which brings together big names like Sathyaraj, Radhika, Sri Priya and Prithviraj on the screen.

Priya, who assisted Mani Ratnam for Alaipayuthey, Yuva and Ayutha Ezhuthu has expressed her gratitude to Raadan Media Works, who produced the movie. Veterans Sathyaraj and Radhika play an elderly couple who support the couple in love.

A product of Adyar Film Institute, she started her career working as Suhasini Mani Ratnam's assistant in Indira. Inspired by her creative skills on the sets, Mani Ratnam ensured that Priya be part of his films.

Priya says, "Kannamoochi Yaenada will be different from my earlier venture and with veterans like Sathyaraj and Radhika Sarath Kumar in the cast, I feel relaxed and comfortable in the sets".

Sri Priya, who chose to stay away from films for sometime, has been convinced to make her comeback with Kanamoochi Yaeanada.

"She plays a sweet and a catchy role in the movie", says Priya without revealing many details.

Prithviraj, who hogged the limelight in Tamil cinema with back-to-back hits in Parijatham and Mozhi, plays a romantic youth in the movie. His romantic scenes with Sandhya have been captured well.

Radhika Sarath Kumar has expressed her admiration for Priya's work and said that she would go a long way in Tamil cinema.

"She has loads of talent. With all work completed, Kanamoochi Yaenada is gearing up for an early release, Radhika said".
