Yeah, the B-town’s favourite filmmaker is said to be changing his course for his next venture... While he is known for his lovey-dovey themed films, family dramas, campus stories and serious issues as well, producer-director Karan Johar is soon going to try out new subject.

Buzz is that Karan will be next producing a kids’ movie, titled ‘Gippy’ and will be helmed by newcomer Sonam Nair, who had earlier assisted Ayan Mukherji in ‘Wake Up Sid’.

The first woman director to be launched by Dharma Productions, Sonam said to have personally chosen the lead actor of ‘Gippy’ from several profiles. The film will feature 13-yr old Riya Vij, who hails from Delhi and has no prior experience in the world of acting.

The shooting of ‘Gippy’ said to have been almost finished, which happened in Shimla. The remaining few portions will be shot in Mumbai.

Looks like KJo is quite inspired the recent hit kiddie films like ‘Stanley Ka Dabba’, ‘Chillar Party’ and most popular ‘Taare Zameen Par’. And let’s see how far he is successful in this new diversion.
