As the title suggests, the film’s conceptualization would be completely different as per the hero Karan. IndiaGlitz recently caught up with the actor, when we were asking him about his recent project ‘Thambi Vettothi Suram’, Karan had something interesting to share with.

“Thambi Vettothi Sundaram produced by J. Senthil Kumar of 24 Frames is the story of a common man who experience the trouble of not getting a proper job for which he is educated. What happens when the hero ends up in a job which is of no connection with his education is the story line,” revealed the actor.

“Many did not know the meaning of ‘Vettothi’ in the beginning and when we explained it everyone felt the title was so apt. The backdrop of the story is a small town in Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. Natives there normally have their ‘House Names’ before their names. ‘Vettothi’ is the hero’s house name and Sundaram is the hero’s name. You may ask what is that ‘Thambi’? Again Natives of the area have a practice of calling all guys as Thambi. So that’s how we got ‘Thambi Vettothi Suram’ as the title,” shared Karan.

It’s not just a film based on a true incident, but an exact replica of it. Director V.C. Vadivudaiyan will be filming certain scenes on the same spots where the original incidents happened. Music Director Vidhyasagar has brought in the traditional music group of the same locality to replicate the nativity of that ambience.

Big name, big explanation, unusual efforts! Be back for more folks…
