“My Name Is Antony Golsaves” – the song became a huge hit and so did the name. As a matter of fact, there was indeed a man called Antony Golsaves, from whom the song was inspired. He was actually a music teacher of Pyarelal (of Laxmikant-Pyarelal) and RD Burman. And now coming to present scenario, ‘Agent Vinod’ has similar ‘inspired’ story… Read on to find out…

In the recently released Sriram Raghavan’s spy thriller ‘Agent Vinod’, Kareena Kapoor plays a Pakistani doctor Iram Parveen Bilal. But did you know that the character’s name is inspired from a real person, who in fact is a director?

Well, we heard that at a film festival Sriram met the real Iram Parveen Bilal, a Pakistani filmmaker. The two had met way back in 2008 at the Indian Film Festival Los Angeles and after the introduction Sriram instantly took liking towards Iram’s name. Interestingly, he had also stated to her then that he will use her name if his film. And true to his word, he named Kareena’s name in ‘Agent Vinod’ as Iram Parveen Bilal! While she is quite elated over this now, the real Iram didn’t actually expect Sriram to use her full name.

Iram Parveen Bilal is a short filmmaker and currently she is working on her first commercial project called ‘Josh’ which is said to be a murder mystery.
