As an UNICEF India celebrity advocate, Kareena Kapoor recently had graced an event, which was presided by Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh. In the course of the programme Mr.Singh took selfie with the actress on his camera. And in doing so garnered the wrath of Congress, who felt that such an action was irrelevant while attending an important event.

The programme was co-hosted by UNICEF and state's School Education and Women and Child Development Departments, to deal with child rights at the state capital Raipur.

According to Congress chief Bhupesh Baghel, by taking a selfie with a Bollywood actress the CM had been insensitive. Instead he should have addressed on the issue of distressed farmers who had committed suicide owing to drought.

Kareena along with CM felicitated nearly 31 girl students and 5 teachers from 36 schools with "Chhattisgarh Ratna" at the event.
