Is Manirathnam deriving Bharathiyar title for Karthi?

After the super hit OK Kanmani` the shooting of Maniratnam`s new film is all set to begin in Ooty on the 8th of July with Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari as the lead pair. The ace director has also signed R. J. Balaji for a comedic role in the film, which has music by A.R. Rahman and cinematography by Ravi Varman.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that the film has been titled Kaatru Veliyidai` deriving from the famous song by Mahakavi Bharathiyar. The official announcement is expected on the shooting date when Madras Talkies will probably post ads in the media.
