Actor Karthi one of the prominent faces among the actors who started raising questions against the administration of South Indian Artiste Association has travelled with the team of rebel actors along these two-three years and is now an important member of Pandavar Ani, contesting the elections to be held on October 18.

Karthi will be contesting for the post of Treasurer of the Sangam.

Speaking at the Press Meet organized yesterday in Chennai, Vishal who has been spear heading the tirade against the incumbent administration, said that he could vouch Karthi as a man of impeccable accountability with the way the latter has been managing the finances for their campaign trail. Vishal pointed out that Karthi would insist to account every rupee spent by them and they have been spending their own money for everything related to the campaign.

Speaking at the Press Meet Karthi countered the allegation that the members could not easily approach the Pandavar Ani candidates after electing them to the administrative post, as they are busy actors.

The Madras` actor said, "The Nadigar Sangam is a huge association with more than 3,000 members. A single man running behind every issue is not possible. If we take up the administration we will not be running it as a single man show. We will follow a structural approach. We will be forming teams and we are planning to rope in retired IAS and IPS officers. Myself and my brother (Suriya) are successfully running the Agaram Foundation and that does not mean we run behind everything related to the Agaram. "
