'Theeran Adhigaram Ondru' (Tamil), starring Karthi and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles, is set to release in Telugu as 'Khaki'. Umesh Gupta, the MD of Aditya Music, is debuting as a producer with the Telugu version.

The news is that the Tamil version's release date has been announced as November 17. In all likelihood, it should be a simultaneous release in Telugu.

The film is based on a 2005 news report.

Directed by H Vinoth, the action thriller also stars Abhimanyu Singh. Ghibran is the music director. Captioned as 'The Power Of Police', it is currently in post-production phase. The cinematography is by Sathyan Sooryan.
