The much awaited trailer of  Vijay Sethupathi's 'Karuppan' directed by R.Panneerselvam released this evening much to the joy of the Makkal Selvan's fans.

The trailer which has a strong flavour of rural elements and references to Tamil culture never has a dull moment. The visuals come action packed and charging as the bull itself. The trailer has ingredients of action, romance, stunts, culture, humour and so one could say the film has the potential to attract audiences of all types.

We understand Vijay Sethupathi's character Karuppan to be a carefree village brat who could tame a bull yet fall softly to the love of a woman. Tanya plays the female lead opposite Vijay Sethupathi. Her cute rebuttals towards Karuppan in the trailer are adorable.

We discern that Bobby Simha's presence as a fearsome anti-force with his body language which is rugged and raw. We also see comedian Singam Puli with his comic character traits and a dorky sense of humour promising the viewers guaranteed laughs.

Since the trailer glorifies Vijay Sethupathi's character playing the sport of bull taming 'jallikattu', we could expect a socially driven family entertainer.

In addition to this, D.Imman has composed the music for the film which is folksy, vibrant and complements the rural backdrop of the story. V.T Vijayan and T.S Jay has done the editing for the movie while K.A Sakthivel has handled the camera.

The rural action thriller is set to hit the screens on September 29.
