Karuppusamy Kuthagaitharar

Thursday, January 1, 1970 • Tamil Comments

Though Karan had been part of several films before, it was Kokki which provided him the lifeline. He played the role of a youth on run from anti-socials.

Continuing his good work of an action-hero is Karan in Karuppusamy Kuthagaitharar. With success of Kokki behind him, a confident Karan plays the title role in Karuppasamy Kuthagaitharar.

The entire movie unfolds in Madurai.

Says director Murthy, "I have tried his best to dwell on love and education in even pedestal. Love is bound to happen when one is at college. You cannot have a parallel track but there are ways and means to handle it. I have tried to present it in a simple way to strike a chord with the audience."

Karan says,"Learning Madurai dialect was a great experience. We shot for over 5 days in Madurai and people were very friendly. I was happy to see my fans there".

"Music director Dheena and lyricist Yuga Bharathy are the other big support. The two combined together in Kokki to give hit songs and have continued their work in this movie too", adds Karan.

"As an actor it was a different experience but good enough to be etched in my mind for a long time", he says.

"Newcomer Meenakashi has done a good performance", he says and adds, "I was greatly admitted by the storyline. It is totally different from Kokki. Certainly the audiences are in for some surprise, twists and turns".

Ready for summer release is Karrupasamy Kuthagaitharar.
