Listen to the peppy number and we are sure it will simply make you jump on the dance floor… Dharma Productions’ ‘Agneepath’ of late released its single audio track “Chikni Chameli” – the most talked song, featuring Katrina Kaif.

As promised the song has all the ingredients to become a commercial hit – thumping background score, catchy lyrics – but yeah, we are yet to see Katrina’s hip swaying action… Choreographed by Ganesh Acharya, the song is alleged to be a step ahead than Katrina’s earlier item hit number “Sheila Ki Jawani”. Birdies revealed that in fact for “Chikni Chameli” the British gori was made to do such tough and fast-paced dance steps that it left her immense body pain, making her to take complete rest for couple of days before she started shooting for ‘Ek Tha Tiger’.

Composed by music director duo Atul and Ajay Gogavale, “Chikni Chameli” is crooned by the melody beauty Shreya Ghoshal.

However birdies shared this song is actually taken from a Marathi number. Yeah, “Chikni Chameli” is believed to be inspired from “Kombadi Palali” a song from 2006 Marathi film ‘Jatra’. And why not? It’s obvious, we say; for the regional track was also composed by same composers Atul-Ajay… Confirming that “Chikni Chameli” is a Hindi version of their Marathi song, Atul told to sources, “We had to make the Hindi version even better.”

Besides, don’t you think Katrina’s avatar is a la Helen style in the popular bar dance “Mungada”?

Hmmm well, after all entertainment is what counted at the end of the day, right? As of now, we are all eyes for ‘Chikni Chameli’ Kat’s thumkas and Jhatkas….
