After his super hit 'Ben Johnson' that came up in the early years of the century, Kalabhavan Mani is again playing a tough uncompromising police officer in the new film 'Kerala Police'. The movie also will be a comeback vehicle for director chandrasekharan who has been away from the filed for more than a decade.
 
 Mani plays the role of Sathyanath a Circle Inspector who is consistently targeted for his upright attitude, while Swarnamalya is the heroine who plays the role of a CBI officer who is highly critical about the way the police department is run in the state. The film moves through a plot where the state police under sathyanath comes up in confrontations with the CBI who are in the state to investigate on the murder of a goa based photographer in a local tile factory. Since the initial reports indicates the hands of a popular actress Sanjana, in the muder plot, with in no time the investigations and associated stories begins to capture the headlines of the media.
 
 Anwar Abdulla's story is scripted to suit the movie by Vinu Nayarayanan. Innocent, Madhu Warriar, Baiju, Augustine, Lakshmi Sharma, Archana,Bijukuttan, and Sooraj Venjaranmoodu are also in the cast. The film also mark the debut of cinematographer sudhi and the  music director Kailas Menon .
 
 For Kalabhavan Mani, Kerala Police is an important film as he is back to lead roles after an year of his last release 'Indrajith'. Mani needs to regain his fan base which had always helped his action films to do  well in B & C stations. Produced under the banner of the Bangalore based DKM Group, the movie is going to have a big release on Easter Sunday (March 23) all over Kerala.
