The Kerala State Film Awards, 2016 has been announced. 'Charlie' raked in numerous awards. The movie proved lucky for Dulquer (Best Actor), Parvathy (Best Actress along with her performance in 'Ennu Ninte Moideen'), Unni R (Best Screenplay), Martin Prakkat (Best Director).

'Ennu Ninte Moideen' also won R S Vimal an award as the Best Popular Movie with creative value. Sanal Kumar Sasidharan's 'Ozhivudivasathe Kali' was adjudged the Best Feature Film. Jayasurya got a special jury award for his performances in 'Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam' and 'Lukka Chuppi'.
