These days filmmakers are willing to experiment when it comes to promote their films. That even mean taking help from youngsters...

Producer Kiran Rao along with Anand Gandhi the director of ‘Ship of Theseus’ has hired a group of enthusiastic management graduates from various management colleges for two months to help promote the film.

As a matter of fact, this would be first time management students would be hired for specific two month exercise to work on a film and not film company. While most corporate hire them to work on research, Kiran Rao saw this as an opportunity to get fresh minds with new creative ideas and get them to direct marketing for the film.

Essentially their job would be to do field work and increase the ground awareness for the film ‘Ship of Theseus’.

Indie films like ‘Ship of Theseus’ relay a lot on word of mouth and innovative marketing as they are always starved for budgets. While ‘Ship of Theseus’ has already buzzing and has a strong word of mouth, all endeavours are to increase the awareness and broad base the film.

Management interns that are hired will be expected to go to various institutions and do ground tie ups for the film. For example they have initiated conversations with all medical associations across India to introduce them to the film.
