Kishore gets an important role in 'Sattai' sequel

'Sattai' directed by Anbazhagan is one of the commendable efforts from Tamil cinema to have portray the problems in our school education system especially in the schools run by the government, The film released in 2012 was critically acclaimed and also commercially successful. Samuthirakani played the lead role of a teacher who inspires students to do well in academics as well as extra curricular activities.

Now the John Max and Jones of Shalom Studios the banner which produced ' Sattai' and also the National award winning super hit 'Myna' have come up with their plans to produce 'Sattai 2' in this era of sequels. 'Sattai 2' will have Kishore in an important role apart from Thambi Ramiah who played a crooked Assistant Head Master in 'Sattai'. The film will be directed by Gautham who has assisted many popular directors. The team is presently finalizing the cast an crew members and they have planned to launch the film officially in June.

Meanwhile Samuthirakani has directed and acted in the lead role of a film titled as 'Appa' which also deals with education system and it is touted to be a continuation of 'Sattai'. This film as the title suggests will focus on the importance of a father in a child's upbringing.
