'Kochadaiyaan' soon, assures Rajini

Superstar Rajinikanth on Friday gave a clear message to his fans, that he would soon start his next venture 'Kochadaiyaan'.

He said this after calling on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and handing over a cheque for Rs 10 lakh for carrying out relief measures for victims affected by recent Thane cyclone in Cuddalore and Villupuram districts.

Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat after his meeting with the Chief Minister, Rajini said he would soon be back in action, shooting for his new venture Kochadaiyaan. “I will be back soon. Very soon, the shooting will start,” he said.

The top star informed media persons that Jayalalithaa had enquired about his health and he described the meeting as a courtesy call. This was the first time Rajinikanth was meeting the Chief Minister after his return from a hospital in Singapore.

When he was discharged from the hospital in the middle of last year, one of the first political leaders Rajini telephoned was Jayalalithaa, as the latter called up Rajini's wife and enquired about his health condition. Rajini also spoke to former CM M Karunanidhi.
