This movie was originally named Clean Bowled. But the unit was almost literally clean bowled when the director Kota had a shocking death.
The director, who was just in his 30s, died due to cardiac arrest. After his untimely demise, the cast and crew were crest fallen. They were worried whether the film would indeed be completed.
But all hope was not lost. And resurrection came in the form of V N Aditya. He revived the project.
The movie was re-christened Kokila. After all the hiccups, the movie is now almost ready. G Ravi Kumar Reddy is producing the film.
The movie stars Raja, Siva Balaji, Rajiv Kanakala, Saloni, Archana in the leads. It is again a youthful entertainer with the story revolving around the three youths who are after the same girl. It is fun and sentiments filled, say the unit hands.
Raja, the new urban pin-up boy, along with Siva Balaji and Rajiv Kanakala play the three youths. The ravishing Saloni plays the girl. Of course, there is also Archana (Veda) to provide more strength.
The movie was more or less complete when Konda was alive. Only a couple of scenes had to be shot.
Konda was a man known for his love sentiments. His debut film Ninne Istapaddanu showed us that.
During the muhurat, Konda had said that the movie would be stylishly mounted and production values would be of the highest standards.
Indeed, Kokila carries positive expectations.
The songs are already a hit as the album is doing well in the market.
