For the first time two Kannada film producers who are set their films release on Friday held joint press meet to condemn the attitude of exhibitors on Wednesday afternoon.

The two Kannada films 'Ko Ko Koli Kothi' producer Adhinarayan and 'Sidlingu' producer TP Siddaraju alleged that around 70 Kannada theatres (where Kannada films were screening since a long time) have allocated non Kannada films – Anban, Vettai, Businessman and Bodyguard. This has resulted in paucity of theatres for two important Kannada films – 'Ko Ko…Koli' and 'Sidlingu'.

According to sources it is 'Businessman' of Mahesh Babu has captured Kannada theatres more. The arbitration committee on Wednesday evening was successful in convincing the distributor and exhibitor of the film in reducing the excess theatres.

As the by-law of the Karnataka Film Chamber of commerce – 24 screens maximum has been stayed it is a headache for the Apex body to pass stringent orders.

As of now for Friday 13th January 2012 - 'Ko Ko Koli Kothi' starring Srinagara Kitty, Priyamani, Srihari, Anu Prabhakar, Harshika Poonacha and others in the direction of R Chandru with music from Ramana Gogula, cinematography by KS Chandrasekhar for Bharani Minerals is releasing in over 70 theatres while another highly expected film ‘Sidlingu’ starring Yogish, Ramya in Vijayaprasad direction by producer TP Siddaraju with his son as hero with Anoop Seelin music and Sugnan cinematography is releasing in 60 theatres.

Ko Ko..Koli Kothi and Sidlingu are sharing the theatres is of course a healthy practice surfaced in the Kannada cinema industry.
