It is a good treat from ‘Krishna Leela’ for the Kannada audience for Ugadi Festival. There are lots of good elements and Krishna is calling - you can go to the theatres to watch this film.
Director Shashank has mixed up emotions, honesty, middle class burning issues, romance, crude reality plus innocence paying penalty. He has got very good support from artists, technicians
especially Sridhar Sambram in music and Shekar Chandra cinematography. Of course the bad words used by character of Dharmendra Urs (father of heroine) could have been pruned. He has anger in his
face and that was enough. In addition to it cutting down 10 minutes of inconsequential scenes - the film will be still on higher scale of entertainment. Krishna (Ajay Rao) is a simpleton from a
middle class family. He is a van driver of school children. He has a good heart and wants to come up in life facing all hardship. The sole bred earner to the family has multiple problems to face.
At this time a college going girl Leela (Mayoori) who is gifted a mobile phone ring up to the mobile numbers with ulterior motives. One of her call of an unknown number happens to be that of
Krishna. It is with the intention making friendship so that she could get currency charge to her mobile phone. Mayoori misled by her friend in the college follows wrong step that is fatal in the
later days for Krishna. Leela father yells at her on such mobile chatting and she comes to the PG to stay. This irks father of Leela. He gives a missing complaint of his daughter that land up
both Krishna and Leela in the police station. In an inconvenient situation now Leela frankly admit that she is in love with Krishna. The cop arrange for marriage of Krishna and Leela. Krishna
plea that he is already engaged goes in vain. What next? Krishna feels very bad for his situation and starts hating Leela to the core. His family is also in severe shock. What is that further
doles out. You have to watch it on silver screen. The first half moves pretty fast and convincing. The second half is bit dragging. As producer and hero of the film Ajay Rao carries the role with
lot of pleasure and pressure. It is his best performance in the career. He has got chances to speak in anger. He is convincing. The action portions are superb. Mayoori from TV to cinema is
another treat of the film. She looks serene and sweet in her looks gives her a nice road in the tinsel town. Achyuth Kumar and Dharmendra Urs have done over acting. At times their performance is
sickening. Veteran villain Shobaraj has got a very decent role to perform. It is a competition between Sridhar Sambram in music and cameraman Shekar Chandru. Both are pretty good and attract the
eyes and ears. The songs sung by Upendra, Puneeth Rajakumar are good to hear. Krishna Calling-.is best and the background song is haunting. This ‘Krishna Leela’ has most of the needs of a family
audience. You can watch this one.
