Krrish is BIG News. The advance booking of this magnum opus from the Rakesh Roshan’s exclusive Filmkraft Factory is historic. It is all set to rake in Rs 50 crore in the first three days. That means the record of Rs 32 crore set by ‘Fanaa’ a month ago is all set to be broken. With 870 prints pumped into the market, Krrish made at a budget of Rs 40 crore shall be making profit in the first three days itself. The trade is jubilant. Yashraj Films, the distributors for ‘Krrish’ are ecstatic as well. And the cine-going-public is desperately waiting for the D-Day: 23rd June, 2006, when India’s answer to Superman shall fly in the air of brilliance.

In a related incident, the anti-piracy cell of Music Company T-Series which is in-charge of the music and video rights of ‘Krrish’ received a call-of-death from Pakistan, allegedly by the makers of spurious pirates ‘Sadaf Video’. The caller threatened with dire consequences if T-Series didn’t stop the attempts to curb piracy. Sadaf Video is said to be owned by Underworld Don Chota Shakeel and is a menace for the Hindi Film Industry. For no sooner a film is released in India, the pirated copies of the same are instantly available in Pakistan, UAE, Gulf and other countries where Indian films are watched. According to reliable sources, the original master copy of Krrish is valued at Rs 9 Crore in the piracy market. This shows the kind of anticipation Rakesh Roshan’s superhero has generated worldwide.
