Her recent avatar as an active politician has not stopped Kushboo from doing her job- acting. The yesteryear heartthrob, if sources are to be believed, has been roped in for a Malayalam film after a long gap.
Titled ÂPranchiyettan And The SaintÂ, the movie is directed by acclaimed Mollywood filmmaker Renjith. ÂThe film which has Mammootty and Priyamani in the lead roles will have Kushboo playing an important character, sources say.
It is worth recalling here that Khushboo had bagged the award for the best supporting actress in ÂKaiyoppuÂ, which was also directed by Renjith. ÂHence she had no apprehensions when the director approached her for ÂPranchiyettan And The SaintÂ, sources add.
Kushboo will be seen in the role of a society lady in this film, which, according to reports, is a satire and a black comedy based on a rich Syrian Christian rice merchant, Enasu Francis of Thrissur, played by Mammootty.
