Perhaps no other artist in Kannada cinema has consumed so much of duration to dub for a film what challenging star Darshan had taken for his first historical Kannada cinema that was shot in 145 days in Rs.25 crores budget.

The historical film starring the guerilla warrior Rayanna who waged a battle against British Rule in India in the 18th century as right hand of Kittur Rani Chennamma ‘Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna’ dubbing of Darshan portion alone took 32 days he remembers.

After watching first half reel Darshan was completely nervous. He even asked director Naganna to get the dubbing from a dubbing artist. It was director Naganna who consoled Darshan and brought him to a good mood next day. After that Darshan started liking every bit of it. He used to come early in the morning for dubbing and finish his task. Darshan was helped in correcting the correct slang and diction by veteran actors Srinivasamurthy, Ramesh Bhat and Shashikumar.

For any commercial film I used to take three days to dub. For this film I worked for 32 days to give my voice for my role explained Darshan sitting next to Dr Jayaprada after the audio release of KVSR.

Apparently this is the first combination of Kichcha Sudeep and Darshan in one film. They are part of this historical film ‘Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna’. Kichcha Sudeep dubbed for the running commentary on the valiance of Rayanna in the film. The dialogues dubbed by Sudeep the topnotch south Indian actor today are also included in the audio CD between the songs. That is an additional boost up for the sale of CD in the market for Ashwini Media network that has come out with 25000 CD in the first order.
