The sitting state Congress women wing President Lakshmi Hebbalkar should immediately resign from her position is the demand of Kannada activists in a protest on Thursday.

The protest was held in the leadership of Vatal Nagaraj at Mysuru Bank circle. The effigy of Lakshmi Hebbalkar was also burnt on this occasion.

What is the reason for this protest? Lakshmi Hebbalkar recent statement that Belagavi district belong to Maharashtra is what irked the Kannadigas. Lakshmi had made a speech in Marathi language. The clips of her speech stated that Belagavi on border of Karnataka and Maharashtra not belong to us.
