Lakshmi Manchu joins Mani Ratnam's Kadal

It is known that Lakshmi Manchu is playing a pivotal role in Mani Ratnam's up-and-coming romantic entertainer, Kadal. She had shot for some days a couple of months back for this film. Having completed her prior commitments for Maranthen Mannithen starring Aadhi and Taapsee Pannu, she is back on the sets of Mani's film.

"Last leg of shoot with Maniratnam. I am living my dream. Never stop dreaming," an excited Lakshmi wrote on her microblogging page.

Starring star kids, Gautham Karthik and Thulasi, the film is a romantic entertainer set in the coastal areas and is said to deal with the lives of fishermen. Music is by AR Rahman like it is for all Mani helmers.
