Prakash Raj’s former wife Lalithakumari cleared all hurdles before ‘Payanam’ on Thursday, by bailing the film’s producer and her ex-husband out of a court case filed by a financier for recovery of dues amounting to Rs 80 lakh.

According to the petitioner, Mahendra Kumar Jain, the actor-producer and Lalithakumari had failed to repay the amount borrowed from him, and hence the film should not be allowed to be released till the amount is settled.

.Jain also sought an order of attachment of a property in Vadagampadi in Kancheepuram district. On Thursday, Prakash Raj gave an undertaking that he would furnish a bank guarantee for any shortfall in the security besides his former wife’s property, situated in Vadagambadi village in Kancheepuram district.

Prakash Raj's counsel filed an undertaking that Lalithakumari was willing to offer the property as security. Following this, the Judge said he was permitting the defendants to release the film.
