Actor, singer, director, song writer and a human par excellence - the jack of all trades across languages, when it comes to filmdom, Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan is to be felicitated with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award! The award will be presented to him by the festival conducted by Mumbai Academy of Moving Images, which is to be held between the 17th and 24th October, this year.

While a generation has grown up watching his movies, there are still many who are awe inspired, not just by his unmatched performance, but also his sincere dedication and contribution to the entertainment industry, with honest talent. In a career spanning over half a decade, Kamal Haasan has close to a couple of hundred movies to his credit, across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. The award is to be received also by the proclaimed French filmmaker, Costa-Garves, of political thrillers fame, such as 'Z', 'Missing', 'The Little Apocalypse' and 'Amen'.
