'Tanu Weds Manu' is now not just a sweet little success but a pretty good one in fact. However other than many good things that are bring spoken about the film, if there was something which was noticed by many out there, it was Kangna's swollen lips. Though she hasn't admitted to it yet, the word in the town during last so many months has been is that it was a result of a surgery going wrong.

Comments a cinematographer, "I feel bad for Kangna because despite a good act and a hit film behind her, it's her lips which came for unnecessary scrutiny. She was so raw and fresh when she entered the industry with 'Gangster' and 'Woh Lamhe'. Such experiments on her face could well have been avoided, especially in a film like 'Tanu Weds Manu' which was an emotional drama and had number of scenes where camera had to talk really close to her. I can well imagine the struggle that she and the film's cinematographer and director technical crew must have gone through to capture her face well from the right angles."

Well, there is some relief though as the swollen lips could just be a matter of the past. It is clear that the portions in 'Tanu Weds Manu' where Kangna's lips led to such widespread reactions were the ones which were shot immediately after her surgery. As the shoot progressed (the film's first half was shot after the second half), things started falling in place for Kangna as the swelling subsided over the weeks.

"One hope that's true," says a trade follower, "In coming months Kangna would be seen in 'Game', 'Rascals', 'Double Dhamaal' and 'One & Only'. If not for anything else, she would be observed carefully for her lips for sure."
