Except a few hiccups like the dialogues of Sayyaji Shinde and unnecessary scenes, the film `Lodde' is an average entertainer. The length of this film could have been pruned. In second half it reminds `Attarintiki Daredi' film. The film has a terrible beginning. That is because of shouting of Sayyaji Shinde. A dubbing artist was needed for this actor with good caliber.
The first half is focused on grandfather's vengeance. On the one side it is foreign returned Komal Kumar (Sayyaji Shinde and family) protagonist and female lead Akanksha a software engineer is on opposite side (Avinash and family), second half the grandfathers unite but grandchildren disagree for last minute information reaching protagonist.
The unity is not possible you think. The arrival of maternal Aunty (Atthe) and Uncle gives some more hopes and consumes more time. Did the lovers Komal and Akanksha unite in the end? That is the end part.
The opening song on left hand personality's achievement in the world - sung by Vijayaprakash, and climax song on Dr Vishnuvardhana are superb portions of the film. The using of clippings of Dr Vishnuvardhana films is well adjusted in graphics. It is a treat to fans of Dr Vishnuvardhana. They have to wait till the end of the film.
As usual Komal Kumar is free in his dialogue delivery and performed well, Akanksha Puri is very pretty on screen, Sayyaji Shinde is main torture of the film, Avinash is good on opposite side.
Jayanth Kaikini song for heroine of the film shot in rain is a real treat to watch. Dr Vishnu song lyrics are well written by Nagendra Prasad. Charan Banjo is a music director with ability.
Cinematography of Safety Prakash is equally good to give average entertainer slot to this film `Lodde'.
