Pakistani release of K.Asif's classic 'Mughal-E-Azam' is becoming BIGGER and BETTER with each passing week. While the film is all set for a June 2 release in Pakistan after being digitally preserved, re-mastered and colored, the film is now in news for the LONGEST EVER TRAILER that has been specially created for its publicity.

The man behind it? YUSUF KHAN. This young director who made his debut with Sunny Deol, Sunil Shetty, Celina Jaitley starrer 'Khel' and is currently busy with his pre-production of tentatively titled 'DHARAM VEER' [Dharmendra, Sunny Deol] has been roped for creating this special trailer. The duration of this trailer is an astonishing 7 minutes 35 seconds [yes, you read it right!] that is unprecedented in the history of Indian cinema.

When asked whether it is a record of sorts, Yusuf Khan told this writer, "Yes, it could be but believe me it is going to be a phenomenal experience for anyone who watches it. It is 45 years since the classic's release that it is being shown in Pakistan and the film deserves that something special is made for its promotion. The mixing is currently in progress while work is also on to place the right background score. Talks are also on with the top actors to be involved in this trailer. Inshallah, the final result is expected to be spectacular!"

'Mughal-e-Azam' is K. Asif's rendition of the tragic love story of Prince Salim and a humble courtesan, Anarkali, with Akbar as a father and emperor who, bound by his principles as a ruler, is opposed to the union. The film, featuring Dilip Kumar as Prince Salim, Madhubala as the beautiful courtesan and Prithviraj Kapoor as Akbar, was nine years in the making and broke all box office records at the time of its release [1960].
