After watching the sizzling promos of Silk Smitha's biopic 'The Dirty Picture', everyone is keenly waiting for the movie's release that is hitting the screens on December 2.

You might have been introduced to the roles played by Vidya Balan (Silk), Emraan Hashmi (not yet revealed), Naseeruddin Shah (South star) and Tusshar Kapoor (writer), now here we have yet another character from the movie...

Noted screen personality Anju Mahendru is reported to be playing the role inspired from late Devyani Chaubal, the controversial film journalist of bygone era. Playing a reporter in the movie, Anju's character keeps a track of Silk's journey in cine world.

Sharing details about her character, Anju revealed a sequence in the movie to sources, "In one scene, Vidya comes up to me and asks 'Who are you?' When I introduce myself, she shoots back, 'Oh so you are the one who writes all the nasty things about me'. And then I answer back, 'Well, it's better to be written about than not'."

As a matter of fact, Anju knew Devyani at a personal level and this said to have earned the actress the journalist's role in the movie. It can be remembered that Anju had once upon a time created headlines for having an affair with Rajesh Khanna.
