Anup reinvents himself

With Gopichand as the hero, Anup Rubens must have found it challenging to fine tune his style to suit the hero.  He does a good job in that.

With meaningful lyrics that are clearly audible, it has entertaining voices from a range of singers.

Soodu Soodu

Artists: Dhanunjay, Ramya Behara
Lyricists: Ramajogayya Sastry

Anoop Rubens delivers a neat musical that allows space for the song to be heard clearly and beautifully.  Ramajogayya Sastry's profound lines give an expression to the couple's love for each other.  Dhanunjay's youthful vocals are good and Ramya Behara's soft voice is apt for a youngster.

Tere Beautiful Anke

Artists: Raja Hasan
Lyricists: Anup Rubens, Sweekar

The boy has just been buffeted by the heroine's beauty.  The concept may be old, but Anup Rubens and Sweekar come up with inventive lyrics to remind one of DSP's tryst with song-writing.  A good musical output with shades of massy beats, it has something for everyone.  Raja Hasan's vocals are refreshing.

Ninnu Choodagane

Artists: Vijay Prakash, Mohana
Lyricist: Ananth Sriram

Keeping in mind Gopichand's age and image, Anup Rubens delivers an apt output that straddles youthfulness and mellowness.  This is in keeping with the album's other numbers.  Anand Sriram is known for writing meaning-laden, touching lyrics.  Although the music has that oldish tinge (say, of the 1990s and early 2000s), it is still enjoyable, thanks to Vijay Prakash's and Mohana's good vocals.

Pink Lips

Artists: Jaspreet Jasz, Sahithi
Lyricist: Sree Mani

So, finally you have a typical Anup Rubens song - youthful and Westernised.  Jaspreet Jasz has that booming voice whereas Sahithi's voice has traces of mature voice.  Together, they make the song a different jolly-ride number.  Sree Mani's style is visible all throughout and in keeping with his love for English words.

Sur Super

Artists: Renina Reddy, Simha
Lyricist: Chandra Bose

The tuning bears resemblance with 'Pillandam keka keka..' number.  An enjoyable item song, it has an excellent rendition by Renina Reddy, the versatile playback singer.  Chandra Bose proves yet again that he can rock it even when it comes to penning a song of mundane nature.  If the picturization is good, there is no stopping this song from becoming one of Gopichand's career bests.

Verdict: Keeping in mind Gopichand's age and image, Anup Rubens delivers an apt output that straddles youthfulness and mellowness.
