Valentine's day is a long way from now. So for the love-stricken, lurking in the dark alleys and deserted spots, to have a moment under the limelight together, a cinema director has invited lovers to a programme, which he claims will be celebrating romance in reel and real life.

Though the exercise is a promotion for the director's yet to be released Tamil film Ulla kadathal, which can be loosely translated as love of the heart (as though love can bloom outside the heart, too!), the director Pugazhenti Thangaraj has announced that real lovers will honor those who acted and directed films based on love (Is there any film in Tamil that does not have romance as central theme?).

Seeking to convert the audio cassette release function into a love carnival, the film director has asked lovers to contact his company through its website or by calling on two cell phone numbers to get entry passes for the event.

So lovers can share the space under klieg lights with romantically-inclined film-makers and actors and actresses on 20 September at the Kamaraj Arangam in the city by calling 98414 15484 or 94442 09776 or through the website ullakadathal.com.

Veteran directors Sridhar, Bharathiraja, Mahendran would take part in the audio release function.

The movie stars Vignesh, Kutty Radhika and Yugendhran in the leadroles.

Pughazhendi Thangaraj, who directed the controversial film, Kattrukenna Veli, says, Ulla Kadathal would be an interesting film with right mix of romance and sentiment.
