You must have not missed him out as Pattabi in an old TV serial ‘Chainna Pappa Periya Pappa’, which had Sripriya and Nirosha in the lead. In fact without him the whole show would have not been as entertaining and hilarious as it was.

If you can’t recollect his jerky facial poses and his special mannerism as a deaf man, then you can think of his popular performance in Radha Mohan’s ‘Mozhi’, as the professor with selective amnesia.

Who did not praise his funny side and his brilliant performance in those emotional scenes? M S Baskar is really a matchless character artist and comedian. He was awarded the Best Character Artist Award for the year 2007 for his acting in ‘Mozhi’.

The actor had recently met Chief Minister of the State, Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi and got his blessings. “It really makes me so happy that I have been awarded with best title of appealing character role. All my thanks and regards to director Radha Mohan for having offered me such a good role,” said M S Baskar.

M S Baskar is now working for Simbu Devan’s ‘Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam’, Madhumitha’s ‘Kola Kolaya Mundhirikka’ and many more projects now.

Dhool… Kalakkungo Pattabi Maama!
