Nitin arrived on our consciousness with the energetic Jayam. After there have been many missies and many hits. But of late there has been only misses for Nitin. His last few films in fact have gone down without a trace.

So the importance of Satyam Shivam Sundaram for the young hero cannot be overstated. It has to be big.

For Meera Chopra, the young heroine of the movie, this is also a test by fire. Her debut in Tamil (as Nila) was not a flying start as was hoped. In Telugu, too, her first movie Bagaram was not a classic either. So she also needs a big one here.

Director Siddik is no stranger to success. He had countless winners in both Malayalam and Tamil. Yet, when he is taking the plunge in Telugu, he will be hoping that he makes the right splash.

Three individuals in three different stages of their career --- but each with their own reason for the film to be hit. So in a sense three-pointed reference in the title Satyam Shivam Sundaram is doubly apt.

As it happens, Satyam Shivam Sundaram is a reference to the three different facets to the hero's character.

Nitin has an author-backed role and is said to have worked extra hard to get the finer aspects right.

Nitin knows a good performance here can stand him in good stead in the tougher battles ahead.

Meera Chopra plays Nitin's love. She also has a crusty role. Meera-Nitin love aspects are one of the highlights of the movie.

Abbas, who was introduced to films as a chocolate box hero, plays a insidious villain. He will be one of the surprises packets of the movie.

Director Siddik, who has taken his time to come to Telugu, says he wants get off to a wining start.

Siddik is one of the few directors who has given 9 consecutive super hits in the last 20 years. Most of his films in Malayalam were remade in Telugu like Hitler, Hanuman Junction and Snehamante Idera.

But Satyam Shivam Sundaram is an original script for Telugu.

Mani Sharma, who is on a career high, has scored the music.

Produced by B. Srinivasa Raju, the movie will be released in August.
