Charmer with a magnetic smile, Madhavan celebrates his 40th birthday today!

He’s got that million billion trillion dollar smile that made his female following go gaga after his sensational debut in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Alaipayuthey’. Of course, the director gets the credit for sketching a character like ‘Karthik’ but it was Madhavan who made the character come to life. Any fan of his would never ever fail to remember the most popular dialogue – “Shakthi..Na Unna Virumbula.. Un Mela Aasai Padalla... Nee Azagha Irukenu Nenaikala.. Ana Idhu Ellam Nadandudumo ...” . From there rest was known, Maddy turned out to be the poster boy of Kollywood.

Romeo on screen he is, Maddy’s acting abilities were put to work right from his days on television. His fan base got wider and wider soon after his ‘Minnale’ came out! Gautham Menon directed ‘Minnale’ simply amazingly. But if not for Maddy’s charm and magic on screen, the movie wouldn’t have been the next big love story of Kollywood. Recall that beautiful scene where he gifts the heroine a gift and signs off by saying ‘That’s my Style’!

Here came that synonym for Maddy. A word that was not just an adjective to describe but a title by itself. Maddy is the ‘cutest’ guy ever and that’s something any fan of his would scream!

Madhavan’s journey from small screen to the big screen was rather a challenging journey that seemed like a cake walk to many. Ask him even now, Maddy would humbly say, hard work was his reason for success. Maddy made it to the big league with a couple of more hits including his experiment with new genres like Lingusamy’s action movie, ‘Run’. This is the first time Maddy was fighting the goons. A totally astonishing scene where Maddy pulls down the shutters in a subway to fight them. One would have least expected Maddy to knock a guy off in one shot, credits to both the director, action director and our hero!

Blessed would be one, to act with a living legend like Kamal Haasan. Maddy’s acting with a star like Kamal in ‘Anbe Sivam’ was simply remarkable though it was the legend who hogged all the limelight. Madhavan would have only thanked his stars to have got the opportunity to share the precious screen space with Kamal Haasan. As reported in IndiaGlitz, Maddy is working with Kamal Haasan again in the direction of K.S.Ravikumar in ‘Manmadhan Ambu’.

With fan following across India built up, thanks to his recognition in Hindi films, Maddy has done over a dozen Hindi films with most being hits including ‘Three Idiots’ with Madhavan. Maddy’s fans can rejoice as he’s got a couple of releases this year. The charmer he is, let us expect power packed and romantic roles from Madhavan. Join IndiaGlitz in wishing our ‘cute’ star an immensely happy and wonderful birthday!
