Actor Madhavan was last seen in Tamil in the film ‘Vettai’ that was directed by Lingusamy. The film released in January 2012. After that he has had only one release in a Bengali film titled as ‘Sun Glass’. The film directed by Rituparna Gosh released in November 2013.

To compensate this gap, Madhavan is gearing up to start acting in a big ticket Bollywood film soon. The biopic of Olympic medal winning Boxer Mary Kom is being directed by Omung Kumar. Bollywood heroine Priyanka Chopra reprises the role of Mary Kom in the film. Madhavan has been roped in for the role of Mary Kom’s coach in the film.

Madhavan has reduced his body weight and has opted for a new makeover for his role in the film. The ‘Ayutha Ezuthu’ actor has also undergone training in Los Angeles to fit in the role of Mary Kom’s trainer. He will be joining the sets soon.

Apart from this Madhavan is acting in a English film titled ‘Night of the Living Dead’.
