Over the past month there were rumors suggesting that Madhavan will reprise Dulquer Salman`s role in the Tamil remake of Charlie` which even he denied. The makers of the Malayalam superhit were demanding a high price and many producers backed out.

Now some concrete news has come out that Superstar Rajinikanth`s 2.0` producers Lyca Productions have bought the rights for the asking price and have brought on board director A. L Vijay. Maddy too impressed with the story has reportedly agreed to star along with Parvathi who will reprise her role from the original. Shooting is expected to begin in January 2017.
