After being in the cans for some time, Shaji kailas's new movie 'Madhirasi' will grace the theatres this week. The movie featuring Jayaram and Meghnaraj in the lead is a welcome change of the director to light hearted films. The director who once ruled Mollywood with his action flicks has a disastrous time in the recent years. 2012 itself saw his two ambitious projects like 'The king and the Commissioner' and 'Simhasanam' becoming big flops.And the director is eyeing for this Madhirasi to break the jinx and end up as a winner.

Moreover, it is after a gap of 21 years that Jayaram and Shaji Kailas are joining together for a movie. The last time they were seen together was for the movie 'Kilukkam Petty' released in 1991.
