Madras Cafe
What is it?
After the critical and commercial success of `Vicky Donor', JA Entertainment and Rising Sun Films have teamed up once again with director Shoojit Sircar to give us an intrigue fuelled action thriller, `Madras Cafe'.
The film that is produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures stars John Abraham as an intelligence agent and Nargis Fakhri as a passionate journalist who keep meeting each other at various junctions during the course of their journey. The story unfolds as their quest for the truth reveals a conspiracy, by a faceless enemy, united to seize a common nemesis - their homeland.
Set in a war-torn island in the late 80's-early 90's, the movie carries the look and feel of an international thriller with plenty of twists and turns on offer setting itself up as an intelligent entertainer.
The Storyline
An Indian Intelligence agent (played by John Abraham) journeys into a war torn coastal island, to break a resolute rebel group. He deftly manoeuvres his resources to make significant breakthroughs, amidst a scenario where the enemy has no face and the only counsel is `don't get caught'. At various junctions he meets a charismatic and passionate journalist (played by Nargis Fakhri) who is following her will to reflect the truth behind the civil war. The story unfolds as their quest for the truth reveals a deeper conspiracy, by a faceless enemy, united to seize a common nemesis - India.

The film is set to release on 23rd August, 2013.
