Emerging from Lingusamy's stable, debutant director Ravi has dished out a love story loaded with family sentiments.

Taking a cue from his mentor Lingusamy's maiden directorial venture 'Anandham', Ravi has etched out a good entertainer. But, a slow narration with repeatedly familiar characters and plot spoils the show.

It's an out and out Sakthi's show all the way. The young actor, who started off well with 'Thottal Poo Malarum', plays the lead role well. He essays the character of a caring brother. More than his romance with Sandhya, the scenes involving him and his sister (Saranya Mohan) manages to leave a mark on screen. Ravi deserves a pat for adding twists to the story towards the climax.

If Sakthi deserves credit for his cool performance, Sandhya is equally impressive playing the bubbly young girl. Sakthi has played the role with maturity. He is at ease before the camera and brings out the emotions aptly.

The movie has a host of characters including Saranya Mohan, Srinath, Santhanam and popular TV host Kalayana Malai Mohan doing a key role that of Sakthi's father.

At many places, the narration is so very slow that it reminds us of watching a few episodes from teary mega serials. The songs by Vidyasagar are average and it looks like his bad is continuing with this film as well.

The story begins in Kumbakonam where a joint family brims with happiness. Mahesh (Sakthi) comes back from Chennai after completing his studies, to make arrangements for his sister Keerthana's (Saranya) wedding. During the occasion, he narrates to his sister about his crush on Saranya (Sandhya), whom he met in Chennai. Everyone in the family overhears his love story and it becomes the talk of the house.

A sudden twist in Keerthana's marriage derails happiness in the family. Mahesh's romance is short-lived and at the end, he goes to prison. A twist in the climax reveals the reason behind Mahesh surrendering to the police.

Ravi needs to be patted for coming up with an original script. But had he concentrated on the pace, he could have satisfied everyone.
