Title - Maha Kaali, Producer - Ramesh Kashyap, Direction - S Mahender, Camera - Selvam, Music = Farhan Roshan (Emil), Cast - Malashri, Dilip Prakash, Pooja, Srinivasamurthy, MN Lakshmi Devi, Mico Nagaraj, Bhajarangi Loki, Premalatha, Padmini Prakash and others.

This film ‘Mahakali’ is the assorted package of Malashri earlier films like Durgi, Shakthi, Kannadada Kiran Bedi, Chamundi, Gharshane, Election, Veera etc. As a head of Karnataka Mahila Rakshana Vedike she solves all the issues concerning women and it looks like a documentary of problems. Whatever the audience expect in advance, it happens with Malashri and four in the company. It is nothing but ‘Five Women Army’ bashing up wrong doers in the society. Not interested in marriage and children in life Devi (Malashri) is god sent gift to the people in woes. She is seen on the scene wherever women are affected.

In some cases the issues come to her notice and barge in to the place. A sister cheated by her brother, a rape victim, tortured wife, a blade company that gobbles people money...etc follow one by one. When Devi takes the step of giving justice to the people in chit fund case is framed
for the death of chit fund owner. In addition to it the woe is also from Home Minister for her severe attack on all his shady deals. Devi comes out from prison and forms a gang to set up Mahila Rakshana Vedike. She faces the jolt in a dark night from detractors. Severely hit Devi asks Maha Kali why you are keeping silent when so many wrong are going on. The power Devi attains in her from Maha Kali is the final round of action on screen. Malashri excel in action and villains fly in the air from her punches.

A few severe blows on her head, director Mahender shows her in perfect position. Dilip Prakash and Pooja pair is quite OK. Mico Nagaraj as villain is convincing. Naresh Gowda as corrupt cop shines well in his debut. Songs and background are not convincing and cinematography is very average. S Mahender does not suit action flicks.
