The prestigious film from Sri Lalitha Kalanjali Productions, 'Maharathi' directed by P Vasu and produced by Vakada Appa Rao with Balakrishna, Sneha and Meera Jasmine in the lead, 'Maharathi' was slated for release on January 10.

Noted Kannada music director Gurukiran gave melodious tunes to all the songs in the film which was already proved a big hit. It had also celebrated the double platinum disc function also.

However, the release was postponed due to unavoidable circumstances and producer Vakada Appa Rao says, 'We planned to release the film on January 10. However, there was some delay in the Digital Intermediate works.

Hence we were forced to postpone the release date to January 26. Though our film is not in Sankranthi race, we are sure that the film would be a definite hit.

We, on behalf of the entire unit, seriously apologise to Nandamuri fans for the delay in release.

'Maharathi' would hit the screen by Republic Day to break all the earlier records.'
