Ace director Adurthi Subba Rao's biographical work written by H Ramesh Babu was launched today at Superstar Krishna's residence in Hyderabad. Apart from Krishna’s family members Vijaya Nirmala, Mahesh Babu, Namrata and Manjula, the event was also attended by Kalatapaswi K Vishwanath. The legends unveiled the pack and reminisced their association with their guru Adurthi.

Adurthi Subba Rao directed several path breaking social and family dramas during the 1960’s and 70’s, won as many as 8 national awards for his works and was guru to legendary directors like K Vishwanath too. Notable films include Todikodallu, Mooga Manasulu (Also remade in Hindi by himself), Tenemanasulu (Krishna’s debut), Dr. Chakravarthy, Nammina Bantu, Velugu Needalu, Iddaru Mitrulu, Sudigundalu etc.
