Sri Sri, directed by Muppalaneni Shiva, stars Superstar Krishna, Vijaya Nirmala and Naresh in key roles. It has been widely reported that the makers approached Mahesh Babu with the request to do a cameo in the film. However, Muppalaneni Shiva has confirmed that Mahesh will only be lending his voice. Thus, only his voice-over will be heard.

If Mahesh and son Gautham had acted, Sri Sri would have been Ghattamaneni family's own Manam, featuring members of three generations.

Besides the voice-over, Mahesh will also do an interview with his father as a promotional.

Naresh has said that Sri Sri is thriller-like and that the film will be a milestone in Krishna's career.
