Superstar Mahesh Babu is the first major Tollywoodian to back the agitation of the Tamils demanding the revocation of ban on Jallikattu.

"Jallikattu is the spirit of Tamil Nadu - bold and fearless. Proud to see such a statement of unity among Tamilians for something that they truly believe in," Mahesh has said in vocal terms. "Especially admire the way the students of Tamil Nadu have been standing up for the cause, relentlessly fighting for their roots and culture. Hope their voices are heard. I support the spirit of Tamil Nadu. #JusticeforJallikattu," he said, speaking up for an issue that has come to occupy national space.

Mahesh's statements are sure to be received with a thumbs up by Kollywood. As a child, the actor had a strong connect with Chennai. Expect other big stars of Tollywood to join issue in the coming days.
