A movie of the lifetime in the combination of Kollywood and Tollywood is most likely to come up very soon.

Based on a historical novel ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, which depicts the history of Chola and Pallava kingdoms, the film would have Vikram as Raja Raja Chola and Maheshbabu as Pallava King.

If everything goes as per schedule, the film to be directed by Maniratnam would go to sets next year with this spectacular combination which would be produced by Sun Pictures with a whopping budget. It is learnt that Jaya Mohan was offered Rs 2 crore to complete the script keeping the novel as his source.

The film would be simultaneously made in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages. An official announcement on the project is yet to come.
