The shooting of 'Maisamma IPS' directed by Bharat Parepalli, presented by Dasari Padma and produced by K Ramakrishna Prasad on the banner of Soubhagya Media was launched in the unit's office at a simple function.
Mumaith Khan is playing the title role in the film. It may be recalled here that Mumaith Khan was once restricted to Item Numbers.
However, she played a special role in 'Yevadaithe Nakenti' directed by Samudra with Dr Rajasekhar as hero and won critical acclaim. Later, she played an important role in 'Operation Duryodhana' directed and produced by Posani Krishna Murali with Srikanth as hero.
Now she is playing a solo heroine in 'Maisamma IPS'. Story and screenplay for the movie are being provided by Darsaka Ratna Dasari Narayana Rao, while Vandemataram Srinivas is scoring music.
